Lion Lalit Kumar Kothari, MJF was born in a reputed business family of Nagaon to Late Sumermal Kothari & Late Shanta Devi Kothari. He is graduated in Commerce from Nowgong College and a Businessman by Profession. He is married to Lion Manju Kothari and they are blessed with one daughter & and one son. Daughter is married to a reputed family in Jaipur. Lion Lalit`s son Pulkit has joined him in his business and he is currently the District Chairperson of Leo District 322D.

He has been President of Lions Club of Nagaon Greater in L.Y. 2007-08 & L.Y. 2021-22, Zone Chairperson in L.Y. 2008-09, Region Chairperson in L.Y. 2013-14, Administration, DG Secretariat in L.Y. 2019-20, DC, Peace Poster in L.Y. 2020-21, GLT – District Coordinator - Cluster II in L.Y. 2022-23. Currently he is serving as VDG I.

He has excelled at Regional Lions Leadership Institute (RLLI) in 2013 and, Certified Guiding Lion Course in 2011 & 2023 & ALLI in 2023.

He has been awarded 100% Treasurer`s Award in the year L.Y. 2004-05, Best Secretary in L.Y. 2005-06, Club President`s Excellence Award in L.Y. 2007-08 & L.Y.2021-22, Best Zone Chairperson L.Y. 2008-09, Lion of the Century by Lions Club of Nagaon City in L.Y. 2015-16, International President`s Certificate of Appreciation in L.Y. 2018-19 & 2019-20, International Leadership Medal L.Y. 2019-20 and has been 11 times ‘Lion of the Year’ in his club.

Lion Lalit Kr. Kothari has also been associated with other organisations. He is Life Member of Assam Sahitya Sabha, Akhil Bhartiya Marwari Sammelan, Indian Red Cross Society, Assam Horticultural Society, Nagaon Tennis Club & Sri Sri Batadraba Than Parichalana Samiti.

He was President of Marwari Sammelan, Nagaon Branch in 2021-23. Secretary of Friends of Tribal Society, Nagaon Anchal from 2017 to 2023. He is Treasurer in Nagaon Greater Lions Charitable Trust, Executive Member of All India Marwari Sammelan & Purvotiar Marwari Sammelan, & Trustee & Executive member of Sri Shyam Sewa Samiti, Nagaon.
